Equipment suppliers offer several types of conveyors that move small parts quickly and accurately. The most popular type for several decades has been low-profile belt conveyors, which keep parts properly oriented at all times and can be equipped with many types of belts.

Skeptics will point out that my fail-safe will itself fail if my house loses power. Yes, sure, but I’m not too concerned about that. The bigger worry I had when I put this system together involved where to place the sensors. If I put them too close to sources of water, say, a tub or kitchen sink, they might trigger from a simple splash. So I tucked them in places where only a significant spill would appear. But I suppose a true water leak could develop with the water flowing in such a way that it missed a sensor. Even so, I do sleep better at night knowing that an Arduino is watching over me.

In order to evaluate the impact of introducing Saramacca material to RGM, the average comminution results from the current Saramacca test work program were compared to historical Rosebel test work reports. A comparison of the available data is presented in Table 13-17. Saramacca results are from both comminution composites (CM) and metallurgical variability samples (VT). The comparison was focussed on fresh rock, as this is the material most likely to be problematic to the operation of the crushing and grinding circuits.
